International Students

ECUST Students 2010-11

ECUST students with a certificate on successfully completing their final year as a study abroad student

We welcome applications from students of all nationalities to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Queen’s Chemistry is a truly international department. We have staff members from seven different countries, including the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Canada, China and Sri Lanka. Students from all over the world come here to study, mainly as postgraduates or as part of our exchange programmes.

Tuition fees for EU students are the same as for UK students. You may find that the cost of living in Northern Ireland is lower than in many other regions of the UK. Additional information on studying in the UK is available from the British Council, in particular on sources of funding. Awards for undergraduate study in the UK are available to permanent residents of a Commonwealth country through the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The University offers special welcoming and orientation programmes to all new international students, and English Language courses are available at various levels. More information on these and other matters, such as how to apply to the different programmes, find accommodation, etc., can be found in the web sites of our Admissions Office and our International Office.

If you wish to follow in full one of our Degree Courses (M.Sci. or B.Sc.) you should contact the Admissions Office directly, Dr. N.C. Fletcher or the School Manager.
